watch here for an official declaration of independence....
I will soon start my own country. The preliminary outline is as follows:
It will operate as a combination of a Monarchy and a Democracy, or 'DeMonarchy'. The layout is as follows:
There will be a King and I am he. However, unlike a typical Monarchy, there will be a check and balance with the citizenship. The King can pass any law he sees fit. However, there will be a 30-day hold on new laws. On the 30th day there will be a vote by the citizens to VERIFY the passing of said law. A 51% total vote will be required to veto the law. (Note: there will be no 'Electoral College' as in the United States which is actually a Representative Republic. All votes will be 1 person = 1 vote)
A third stage will be required for the passage of all new laws. There will be a Supreme council (appointed by the King and approved by the citizenship in the same manner as above). This Council also has the power of veto with a two-thirds majority. The term for Council members will be 7 years. The current Council will consist of 3 members, but will increase over time as the King sees fit (changes in number of Council members will also for the same 51% citizen OR two-thirds Council vote to veto).
The long-term goal is to obtain large ships (starting with one, of course) and anchor them in international waters, thereby operated outside of any existing country's jurisdiction, and by default, their laws.
Another major priority is to create our own monetary system. Until that point, transactions will be made in Euros, or whichever currency is currently regarded as the world's reserve currency. As a means to avoid any exchange rate losses (such as paying in U.S. dollars, or any currency other that Euros), transactions may also be made in .999 pure silver, gold, or nickel.
Other future steps will include the issuing of our own passports and stamps.
At present, citizenship is open and may be obtained at the cost of 1 oz of silver.
It is also important to state that we officially denounce ALL FORMS OF TERRORISM!
